Man, thank you to you all who came — you are troopers!! That meeting took a while, but there was important business to discuss. Thank you for coming and watching to help keep us on track!!
As I told someone on another thread who doesn’t see the value in paying taxes for schools, I’d like to submit my perspective for consideration:
These kids, our own or not, are the ones who will be making decisions soon about the direction our community and country goes. They need to be able to reason and analyze and investigate.
They are also the ones who will be inventing and discovering the next piece of technology or life-saving procedure. They need to be able to explore and and formulate and extrapolate.
I truly believe that our public schools ought to be our best-funded institutions. We just have to ensure they’re using the money wisely.
